With all of this Arkansas heat, we tend to drink a lot of water these days. I try to keep hydrated by drinking a glass of water per hour if I can remember. Thus far the babe and I have been healthy and strong...and gaining lots of wondrous weight. It will be so much fun trying to loose it all after this little darling comes into the world.
{Week 33}
I had been trail running in my favorite Vibram 5 Finger shoes well into my 7th month, but then eased off and have only been hiking and walking during my 8th and 9th month.
I'm simply aching to run again—once I have this little bundle of joy, I believe I will treat myself to Merrell's new Minimalist running shoes or New Balance's Minimus.
After our lovely hike at Devil's Den State Park, we thought we'd hit up the local theater. Though I don't particularly care to go to the movies—I prefer my clean sofa to snuggle up on and being able to pause the flick if I so desire—we decided to catch one more film before the little one arrives. Here we are shoving burritos in Kyle's pockets. So sneaky, but we were hungry!
{Week 36}
I still haven't bought any maternity clothes! Only 3 weeks to go—let's see how far I can get before I start wearing sheets with cutouts for neckholes and armholes...of course I'll be sure to belt it nicely.
These days, little Nel especially likes to tuck her feet up and press firmly on my ribs, which is a constant treat. Nothing like a little daily pain. But she's just so adorable, I couldn't possibly be upset about it.
At the rate that I post, the next one will most likely include images and updates on our newest addition! Woohoo!

aw you're beautiful! Excited for your new addition :) I remember how annoying it was not to be able to run, I love it. Unfortunately it takes a few months to be able to do it comfortably again, so take it easy. good luck!
I read some thing about that famous marathon lady who peed on the side of a road once? Can't remember her name. But the article was talking about the benefits and advantages of running while pregnant and then post pregnancy. As I recall it was very interesting. Not that I recall any of the interesting parts.
I'm sure everyone's glad I shared that.
Haha!!! Go Almira, this is ya sista Anj!!! Nice bump you got there! Well, I love you. PS: Jared keeps pestering me about asking you how your "waddles" are going? I don't know if you know what that means but you will soon if you already don't!!! LOL!
Andrea
I love that baby bump! And you look so radiant. It looks like you haven't gained an ounce but in that belly. And no maternity clothes! I am so jealous. You will have your hot body back in no time. Can't wait to meet my little when she gets here.
You are so funny! I seemed to be the same way with my first pregnancy, I had to just pull a face in every picture cause I felt so silly! lol! But I was lucky to even get one my second pregnancy! So glad you posted! INSANE that you are due in a few weeks! I'm so excited for you! I need to see you guys soon! And I want to see that little baby! We will have to talk! :) Also I can't believe you miss running. I have been "training" for a 5k and I don't know if I could dislike it more! I get SO bored while I'm running, and I don't know how I'm going to keep this up when the heat comes head on, but I must! I rather like how I am getting my body back finally. Who knew it actually took WORK to loose pregnancy weight!
@Kat: thanks! I'll have to force myself to take it easy, but who knows, maybe I'll be so tired I won't want to run?
@Neil: peeing on the side of the road always has its benefits.
@Andrea: Thanks. Be sure to tell Jared that I certainly do not waddle yet and how would he know about that anyway?!
@Keali: So excited to see you guys soon! I'm devastated that we STILL haven't met little Nash!!! At least we get to watch his darlingness grow via pictures but its just not the same. Hopefully we'll come out to see you guys soon! xo
@Alisa: I know. 2 weeks till she's due...of course I'll probably go mad if she stays 2 weeks late, but what's another month I guess? Hotel Nel must be awfully cozy but I just can't wait to meet her and snuggle her! Awesome that you're doing a 5K! I must say that I'm actually the same way when it comes to treadmills and road running. I get SOOO bored. I have to run on trails or I putter out really fast. Try finding a trail somewhere and you might like it a whole lot better! Miss you terribly! Anastasia is getting hitched in August so if all goes well with this little baby we'll be out there the 3rd week in August...wish you guys were in WA at that time!
ALMIRA!!!! You are so close! Heck maybe you already had her...I better check your facebook... Anyway I got your comment, and I seriously considered bumping our planned trip forward a week so we could see you guys. The only problem is that Bella will be in school, and it's school I'm paying high dinero for so I'm not excited about having her miss a whole week! I'm thinking we may have to keep our original plans, but nothing is finalized yet. I will keep you posted if anything changes!
